Here at Wathwood Medium Secure Hospital we have a Patient Newsletter that has been running successfully for several years now. The patients are involved from the planning stage right through to the publication stage. Roles such as editor, interviewer and photographer are assigned with the future aim to make them vocational and certificated. Two staff from the education team help to co-ordinate the meetings, interviews etc and supervise the photography. The editing team then use Microsoft Publisher to put the whole thing together before it is distributed to all patients. Wathwood
